What happens when my campaign ends or its budget runs out?

Updated October 22, 2026 · 2 min read · For brands

Your campaign pays creators for views on approved posts until its budget is used or its end date passes, whichever comes first. Then Vyro reviews the posts, settles the results and returns what you didn't spend.

When submissions stop

Two caps can close submissions before the end date:

  • Spend nears the budget: Vyro closes submissions and the campaign page reads Locked with Spend capped. Reopens if budget frees up. Submitted posts keep earning, and the campaign reopens by itself when budget frees up, for example after posts are rejected. The card stays Live.
  • A platform's locked budget nears its cap: that platform closes while the others keep going, and Spend by platform on your report marks it Closed. See Can I pay a different rate on each platform?

After the end date

At the end date the campaign moves to In Review and you get "Your campaign is now in review". Views a post gets after the end date don't earn. The Vyro team reviews the posts submitted before the end date over the next 5 days. Then the campaign moves to Settling, where you have 7 days to confirm the results or request help. With no answer, it completes on its own.

Where the money goes

You pay the whole campaign cost when you submit, and it sits in your wallet as On hold. Spend grows as approved views come in, but money moves only when the campaign completes. The amount the approved views used is deducted, and the rest returns to Available funds. Rejected posts never earn.

The email "Your campaign is complete" lists Amount previously held, Amount deducted and Remaining wallet balance, with the invoice PDF. To end early, ask your Vyro rep, see Can I change my campaign after I submit it?
