What's the difference between Available funds and On hold?
Updated October 22, 2026 · 2 min read · For brands
Your wallet shows two balances, and a campaign moves money between them. Both count cleared money only, so a deposit still Clearing is in neither.
The two balances
Each balance has one job:
- Available funds: money you can spend on a campaign or withdraw.
- On hold: money reserved for campaigns you have submitted. The card also shows its share of your whole wallet, for example 40% of your funds.
How a campaign uses your wallet
A campaign touches your wallet at two moments:
- When you submit. You click Pay & submit and confirm, and the whole campaign cost moves from Available funds to On hold. Under Transactions this is the row Put on hold, named after the campaign. If your available balance is short, add funds first (how to sign and submit).
- When it completes. Vyro deducts nothing while the campaign runs. It settles the hold once, when the campaign is Completed: the cost of the approved views leaves as Campaign payout, and the rest returns to Available funds as Released the hold.
The email Your campaign is complete lists the amount held, the amount deducted and your remaining balance. What leads up to completion is in what happens when your campaign ends.
When the hold comes back in full
The Vyro team returns the whole hold in two cases:
- Your campaign is sent back for changes: the hold is released, and you pay again when you resubmit.
- Your campaign is canceled before it goes live: the hold is released.
In both cases the row reads Released the hold and the money is back in Available funds right away. To take unused money out of the wallet, see how to withdraw funds.
